It’s certainly a momentous week for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Not only did the final performance of the award-winning original two-part production take place over the weekend, but we can also reveal the new cast stepping on to the Palace Theatre stage from 9 October 2026 in the reimagined one-part production. Before we celebrate a triumphant ending, let’s talk about a new beginning.
Introducing the Year 10 company
The reimagined one-part production will tell the whole adventurous story in one complete performance, promising to be a spectacular, unforgettable experience. But who will be the first actors to bring this production to life? Permit us to unfurl our scroll, Professor McGonagall style, as we welcome these stars to a new year at Hogwarts…

A final bow after 10 years
As we welcome a magical new era for the Cursed Child, it’s only fitting to celebrate the phenomenal achievement of the original two-part production’s ten-year run. Over the last decade Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has become a global success having been by seen more than 14 million people worldwide, including over 2.5 million at its London home. The multi award-winning two-part production had its final sold-out performance on Sunday 20 September and the audience reception at the curtain-call was deservingly jubilant.
Well, that was emotional… Anyone else feel like they got some Floo powder in their eyes? Congratulations to every single person who brought this historic, record-breaking production to life over the last 10 years. Now on to the next adventure.
