Bought from a “Greek chappie” Hagrid once met in a pub, Fluffy was one of the gamekeeper’s many monstrous pets. Don’t be fooled by the cute name, this gigantic three-headed dog was by no means all bark and no bite. During Harry Potter’s first year at Hogwarts, Hagrid lent Fluffy to Albus Dumbledore to be the first in a series of magical obstacles protecting the Philosopher’s Stone. However, Hagrid’s loose lips meant that this guard dog’s ultimate weakness wasn’t kept secret for long: “jus’ play him a bit o’ music an’ he’ll go straight off ter sleep.”
