A quarter of a century later and the wonder that the wizarding world inspired throughout the fandom is as strong as ever! So, with seven books, eight films and the highly anticipated HBO Original HARRY POTTER television series, currently in production at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden set to premiere in 2027, now is the perfect time for witches and wizards everywhere to celebrate the enduring legacy of this beloved series.

Fantastic fan experiences
The 25th anniversary celebrations are set to be woven into all your favourite wizarding moments throughout the year.
From Back to Hogwarts, the global event that unites fans around the world and is set to be bigger and better than ever in this special anniversary year.
To the return of Butterbeer Season, complete with touring Butterbeer Trucks, exclusive new products and so much more.
Not forgetting Harry’s birthday, the legendary day where a young boy discovered his true wizarding heritage! With exciting events, fan activities at Harry Potter locations and birthday-inspired products, it’s going to be an enchanting summer.
Rewatch where it all began
Over the Back to Hogwarts period, the sounds of ‘Yer a wizard, Harry’ will be ringing out in screens around the world as Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone / Sorcerer’s Stone will make a return to the silver screen, with a special treat for fans – 10 minutes of behind-the-scenes content never before seen in theatres.
The film will show on screens across North America, EMEA, LATAM and APAC between 27th August and 3rd September (timings vary by location).
During this window, fans will also have the chance to enjoy experiential magical touches guaranteed to bring the magic to life and watch all eight films from the Harry Potter series in theatres – check local listings for details.
Shared Reality Experience
This spring, Harry Potter fans will be able to experience the magic of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone/Sorcerer's Stone in Shared Reality at Cosm.
Cosm venues are currently open in Los Angeles and Dallas, with locations in Atlanta and Detroit set to open later this year.

Limited-edition goodies
This year, keep an eye out for an ethereal silvery glow across your favourite Harry Potter products! A stunning new 25th anniversary logo will feature across new and existing products inspired by the iconic Patronus.
On that note, as part of the celebrations, the LEGO Group will be building the magic as they launch their brand-new Harry Potter sets inspired by iconic film moments. Four of these new sets, Hogwarts Castle Sorting Ceremony, Hogwarts Castle Hospital Wing, Secret Potions Classroom and (for the first time in LEGO Bricks) Luna Lovegood’s House all come complete with a special 25th anniversary collectable Patronus!

A global celebration
Around the world, the anniversary celebrations continue, with Harry Potter destinations offering fans a smorgasbord of surprising and spellbinding moments throughout the year.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – the Making of Harry Potter will be celebrating the first film with their new summer feature. From 7th May until 7th September, fans can discover the wizarding artefacts they were introduced to in the first film, from the mystifying Philosopher’s Stone, to the iconic Golden Snitch. This special feature will reveal how each magical prop was carefully crafted for filming, as well as showcase the instantly recognisable sets, reveal behind-the-scenes facts and clever secrets that made the film so iconic.
The folks over at Warner Bros Studio Tour Tokyo – the Making of Harry Potter will also be taking fans back to where it all began in celebration of this special anniversary. Stay tuned, as more information on what fans can look forward to will be revealed soon.
Universal Destinations & Experiences will celebrate Harry Potter with special, limited-time offerings in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal theme parks in Orlando, Hollywood, Osaka and Beijing throughout the year – including Butterbeer Season and Back to Hogwarts, as well as at Warner Bros. Discovery Global Touring Experiences including The Harry Potter Film Concert Series, Harry Potter: The Exhibition, Harry Potter: Visions of Magic and Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience.
The real world and digital fan focused activities are set to be a truly global experience uniting Harry Potter fans everywhere – from iconic film moments brought to life in touring installations around China starting later this month, to a special Harry Potter 25th anniversary themed takeover of Chadstone, the largest retail and lifestyle destination in the southern hemisphere in Melbourne, which will kick off in April.
