It has been quite the journey for the original Broadway cast of Cursed Child, seven of whom originated their roles in the play’s first year in London too.
From March next year, several members of the cast are moving on. So, who will be taking the mantel of Harry and his friends for Broadway’s second year with Cursed Child?
The starring role of Harry Potter will be taken on by James Snyder – along with Diane Davis, playing his wife Ginny, and Nicholas Podany as their son Albus.
As for Ron and Hermione, please welcome Matt Mueller and Jenny Jules taking on the husband/wife team, with Nadia Brown as Rose Granger-Weasley. Draco Malfoy will be played by Jonno Roberts, accompanied by Bubba Weiler as the next Scorpius Malfoy.
The rest of the company will be comprised of Aaron Bartz, Will Carlyon, Kimberly Dodson, Patrick Du Laney, Sara Farb, Jonathan Gordon, Steve Haggard, Eva Kaminsky, Jack Koenig, Rachel Leslie, Sarita Amani Nash, Fiona Reid, Katherine Reis, Kevin Matthew Reyes, Antoinette Robinson, Stephen Spinella, Tom Patrick Stephens, Erica Sweany and Karen Janes Woditsch along with returning cast members Brian Thomas Abraham, Olivia Bond, Stephen Bradbury, James Brown III, Lauren Nicole Cipoletti, Zoe Feigelson, Jack Hatcher, Edward James Hyland, Joey LaBrasca, Landon Maas, James Romney and Alex Weisman all playing a variety of characters.
The final performances of the original Broadway Cursed Child cast will take place on 17 March, 2019 – so snap up tickets if you want to see a number of the original actors cast their spell one final time. Tickets are on sale now for the new cast’s performances which begin on 20 March, 2019.
We’re sure it will be a very emotional farewell for those leaving the production, and a whole new world for those joining the Cursed Child family.
