Make space on your bookshelf… A new paperback edition of J.K. Rowling’s beloved first Harry Potter book will feature cover art from the forthcoming Harry Potter television series!

We’re excited to reveal that global Harry Potter publishers are releasing a new TV tie-in paperback edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone this November, using photography from the HBO Original Series as cover art for the book.

While the cover gets a magical refresh, the story itself remains unchanged: the original text of the book will stay intact, down to the last letter.

The only other timely tweak will be for US readers: Scholastic will update the title of its TV tie-in edition from the Sorcerer’s Stone to the Philosopher’s Stone, reflecting the name of the new Harry Potter television series.

The TV tie-in will be published globally in English language on 3rd November 2026, with other markets to follow, ahead of Christmas when the TV series will launch on HBO Max.
