On 14th August, along Omotesando Street in Harajuku, Tokyo (6-31-17 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) a new world of magic is about to open.
Harry Potter Shop Harajuku is the latest official Harry Potter Store, joining fellow shops across the world in London, New York, Chicago, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, Tokyo, and Akasaka.
Spanning approximately 900 square metres across two floors, this new shopping experience will offer limited-edition merchandise alongside Harry Potter classics. From robes to wands to cuddly plushies, Japan-based fans will surely be spoilt for choice.
The shop also features a Butterbeer Bar where visitors can stop for refreshment during their shopping, as well as photo-opps inspired by the films.

The shop brings particular focus to the mysteries of the Forbidden Forest.
Located along the lush green path leading from Yoyogi Park, the store is themed after the forested area of Hogwarts, where all manner of weird and wonderful beasts and beings can be found.
Upon entering the shop, you will be greeted by large trees, flying owls and magical creatures perched on trunks.
Fans of Hagrid's beloved Hippogriff Buckbeak will be pleased to discover his majestic presence in the store too, complete with meticulously crafted feathers.

On the first floor, visitors can discover a special corner filled with Harajuku store-exclusive items (such as as fashion accessories, stationery and sweets - and an adorable teddy) as well as a House Pride section themed after the four houses (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin), offering all manner of goodies representing your respective Hogwarts clan.

On the second floor, you can embrace your inner Hogwarts student. The area features a wide variety of cute plushies of magical creatures, and a personalisation station where you can snap up special wands, robes and school supplies - and even get your name put on them!
Art aficionados should also check out the section of the store dedicated to Minalima, the graphic design duo behind the Harry Potter film series. Here, you can find their beautiful interpretations of the wizarding world available as prints and other special merchandise besides.

So, there you have it. Opening this week, Harry Potter Shop Harajuku is brimming with spellbinding surprises - and we can't wait to see your photos and reactions. For now, you can visit the official website for more info. Have fun!
