Breaking Niffler news, everybody.
As revealed in Entertainment Weekly today, it has been confirmed that Newt Scamander’s Niffler, as introduced to us in the first Fantastic Beasts film, will be having some children in The Crimes of Grindelwald. Four Niffler babies to be exact – in four different colours. Be still, our beating hearts.

Eddie Redmayne, who will once again be starring as Newt Scamander in the new film, revealed that his Niffler would be starting a little family during promotion at Comic-Con 2018.
The Nifflers, long-snouted magical creatures with a penchant for stealing anything shiny, were first introduced to us in the Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire book. They made their film debut in the first Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and we’ve been completely in love with them ever since.
Merlin knows how Newt will handle Gellert Grindelwald and four extra Nifflers at the same time...
