In these new posters, we get a nice glimpse of the characters’ relationships in the new film.
For example, despite not being seen together in any trailers, we see Queenie and Jacob together here. After Jacob was parted from his memories at the end of the first film, including his budding relationship with Queenie, we were worried about these two. Does this poster suggest they will be reuniting? We’re just old romantics at heart.
The other posters show Newt Scamander and Albus Dumbledore, who will be working together to take down Grindelwald; Grindelwald and Credence, who developed something of a mutual trust, albeit with Grindelwald under the guise of Percival Graves, and Leta Lestrange and Theseus Scamander, who we already know are an engaged couple in this film – which will be interesting, based on the fact Theseus’s brother, Newt, carried a photo of Leta in the first film...
We also see Tina with Yusuf Kama, who we know to be a French-African wizard from a pure-blood family who is on a mission to track down Credence. Interestingly, in the first film, Tina had a fascination with protecting Credence – so they have someone in common there. What their official business is together, we’ll have to wait and see.
Embossed across each poster, we also can spot significant symbols in the detailed borders that tease the film’s plot. For example, you can see the references to Paris with the Eiffel Tower, the Deathly Hallows symbol, a nod to Grindelwald’s obsession with them, and many beasty allusions, too. Take a look and see what you can find!
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be released 16 November.
