Jam City’s new role-playing mobile game, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, is set to have us glued to our phones when it is released later this year, but until then, you can enjoy the second trailer for the game now – and even pre-register on Google Play.
First thing’s first: here’s the trailer.
This new footage gives us our most detailed look so far into the gameplay of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. This includes glimpses of how to create your own personalised student avatar, the Hogwarts sorting ceremony, and a look inside the four house common rooms. We also spotted a few more familiar faces from the Harry Potter stories, including Hogwarts favourites Hagrid, Professor Sprout, Professor Dumbledore and Professor Flitwick. As the game is set in the 1980s, we even spotted Ron’s older brother Bill Weasley, who would’ve been a student during this decade. Nice hairdo, Bill. We imagine we’ll meet a few new faces, too.
The game, which has been created by mobile games studio Jam City in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment under new games label Portkey Games, will be available to download from App Store and Google Play later this year, with pre-registration now open for Google Play. Pre-registered users will be the first people notified when the game launches later this year.
Chris DeWolfe, co-founder and CEO of Jam City, is ‘thrilled’ that the excitement for Hogwarts Mystery continues to build.
‘We are grateful to the fans who have made Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery one of the most anticipated mobile games of 2018,’ he says. ‘We’re thrilled to open Google pre-registration and share a new sneak peek at how this game will let fans create their own character and enter Hogwarts as a student for the first time.’
We are going to be the best Hogwarts students of all time! Hopefully.
Pre-register here to be notified when the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is available for download.
