The Royal Mint has added a new coin to its immaculate collection. Celebrating iconic moments from the Harry Potter stories, with a series of commemorative coins depicting remastered illustrations of scenes from the beloved series.
This time, fans can reminisce about the famous Black Lake scene from the fourth story, where Harry must navigate its murky depths, evading Merpeople and other magical creatures that dwell in the water.
The packaging even references the Merpeoples’ mysterious song that calls to Harry before the task begins: “Come seek us where our voices sound...”
This new limited-edition coin follows on from the Winged Key coin, which depicts Harry from the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, chasing down enchanted keys as part of a series of obstacles below Hogwarts castle in the story’s grand finale. As remastered by Bella Briggs, these beautiful designs sit on the coin in full colour. But you can also pick up gold and silver renditions.
Take a look at the new Black Lake design alongside the Winged Key coin (both released this year) at the official Royal Mint website.
Stay tuned for more designs coming soon.
