Today, Bloomsbury’s Children Books excitingly revealed the spectacular new cover for the sixth Harry Potter story. Without further ado, here is that magical new cover…

The swirling fire. The Inferi crawling towards Harry and Dumbledore. The pair standing together with their wands raised. Every single detail of Levi’s artwork, right down to the eerie green colour palette, captures the high stakes and intensity of Half-Blood Prince perfectly.

This is merely taste of what is yet to come. Publishing globally 6th October, from the Dursleys’ home in Privet Drive to the top of the Astronomy Tower, Levi has used his exceptional skills to bring Harry’s journey to life. His sweeping landscapes and attention to every detail has evoked a world so convincing that you feel as though you could almost reach out and touch it – fans of all ages are sure to be enchanted.

That’s not all, the sixth book will see many iconic witches and wizards illustrated for the first time, including Professor Slughorn, Narcissa Malfoy and Professor Flitwick, Head of Ravenclaw house.

Taking up the mantle from Jim Kay, who stepped down after illustrating the first five books in this worldwide publishing phenomenon, the sixth and seventh stories are clearly in safe hands with Levi. Already familiar with the wizarding world, having worked on both the Hogwarts house-themed editions of the Harry Potter books and The Harry Potter Wizarding Almanac, he’s perfect to continue the journey of this series which has sold almost one million copies and been translated into 38 languages worldwide.

We can’t wait to see more of Levi’s artwork as he combines his illustrative style with the wonder of the wizarding world.
