This Wizarding Weekly is all about Harry’s birthday. For most other witches and wizards, like Ron, wizarding birthdays aren’t all that different from those celebrated in the Muggle world. You get presents – albeit magical ones –, birthday cake, and people make a fuss of you all day. Harry had none of this whilst living with the Dursleys – his birthdays were forgotten, and given the unfortunate month of his birth – July – Harry often had to spend them at Privet Drive, even when he had friends who wanted to party with him.
