Discover your Patronus and what it means
As you may know, when you sign up to HarryPotter.com, you can discover your Hogwarts house, wand and Patronus. For the Patronus Experience, we’ve enhanced your results page, so you can now see what your silvery, animal guardian of choice may mean. For example – got a Salmon Patronus and having an existential crisis about it? No more. Salmon are very useful, actually, as you’ll learn!
Share your profile – and check out other witches and wizards
There are thousands upon thousands of fellow Harry Potter fans out there, and now you can check out how they’ve created their profiles. You’ll only be able to see their initials – but there is lots of fun to be had browsing around your fellow aspiring witches & wizards and seeing all the fun Patronus/Hogwarts house combinations (any Hufflepuffs with Badger Patronuses out there?) Be sure to share your own profile too, so people can see just exactly how you represent yourself in the wizarding world. Don't want to share your profile? That's totally fine too - just hit the toggle in the settings either way.
Create your very own magical portrait – and collect special unlockable content
In your profile, you can create your own Hogwarts-style portrait, complete with hundreds of different physical traits, backgrounds, accessories and much more. But we also sometimes put out secret items into the universe, which you can unlock with a secret code.
Crack the code, and voila: your special item is revealed. And now, you can collect up all of your unlockables on your profile, so everything is neat and tidy in one place. And you can brag to your friends about how many you’ve collected.

Complete your wizarding checklist
We love a checklist – it just makes us feel more whole. On your profile, if you’ve missed any of our fun experiences, you’ll now be able to see what you’ve completed – and what magic is still to be discovered. It will give you a tremendous amount of satisfaction, trust us.
So that’s the new stuff. But in case you’re newly registering, don’t forget to check out our existing features too. Although we’re sure you’ve heard about one...
Discover your Hogwarts house
It is somewhat possible you’ve been living under a rock – or had a Confundus Charm hit you – and not realised you can discover your Hogwarts house in our Official Sorting Ceremony. But never fear. The Sorting Hat is always waiting for you – and will help you discover if you belong in Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin, depending on how you answer the Hat’s mysterious questions.
You’ll even be able to choose a Hogwarts pet along the way (we personally adore the three toed tree toad) and at the end, be presented with your Hogwarts house page, where you can learn more about your house, get a special letter from your house prefect, and discover which fellow Harry Potter characters are part of your new home.
Find your wand in the Official Wand Ceremony
So that’s your Hogwarts house done...but did you also know you can discover your own wand too? We have so many different versions to find, from different wand woods, lengths and cores. We’ll even tell you if your wand is swishy, sturdy or bendy – it’s all very important to know!
Like with the Sorting Ceremony, immerse yourself with a series of fascinating prompts to discover what sort of wand is right for you. But of course, really, you’re not choosing the wand – the wand is choosing you.
