Comedy legend Nick Frost is about to take on a larger-than-life role: the loveable Hogwarts gamekeeper and half-giant, Hagrid! Here’s your first look at him in costume – in all his bearded glory.

Nick’s Hagrid reveal follows on from our sneak peek of our titular hero yesterday: Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter in his iconic glasses and school robes for the very first time.

Nick and Dominic will be joining an impressive roster of actors in the upcoming Harry Potter series, slated for release in 2027 through HBO.

And this week, we revealed even more fantastic casting additions – including Andor’s Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander and Sherlock star Louise Brealey as Madam Hooch. You can see everybody who has been announced so far for the show in our handy summary.

Production has officially started on the television series, filming at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden, following in the footsteps of the original movies – so keep your eyes peeled for more magical transformations soon enough.
