Harry Potter
Harry is certainly a capable wizard; he is quick to pick things up and most teachers (perhaps not Professor Snape) would agree that he is an asset to the class. In particular, he has demonstrated a real talent for Defence Against the Dark Arts – which is handy knowing his history.
There have been times where Harry has seemed rather distracted. While we understand that being the ‘Chosen One’ comes with great responsibility, we would prefer it if Harry didn’t fall asleep and succumb to his nightmares during Divination lessons.
In the face of being incredibly famous, plus having more on his plate than anyone could bear, Harry has managed to remain grounded – except when he takes to the skies as the Gryffindor Seeker! Harry should be pleased with the progress he has made this year – well done Harry!

Ron Weasley
Ron is a student with an excellent sense of humour, who (despite being the sixth of his siblings to attend Hogwarts) has managed to carve out a name for himself as a valued member of the school. His life-size game of wizard chess remains a thing of legend!
Even though we appreciate everything Ron does to help take down Voldemort, we would prefer it if he could try not to break the rules. At the very least, we’d like to avoid any more Howlers from his mother – the screams of ‘RONALD WEASLEY’ still haunt our dreams.
A quick note that we would like Ron to put a little bit more effort into his homework – no more ‘Roonil Wazlib’ essays please. Setting that aside, Ron has had a strong year, and we are sure that will continue next year – great job!

Hermione Granger
It has been another stellar year for Hermione. It appears there hasn’t been a spell created that she can’t master. Frankly, she’s one of the most exceptional students we have had at Hogwarts – some have even referred to her as the ‘cleverest witch of her age’ and we’re inclined to agree.
Although she has an incredibly sensible head on her shoulders, we would like to remind Hermione that with great power comes great responsibility… especially regarding the rumours about a beetle in a jar, who may or may not have been a certain journalist.
Minor kidnapping quibbles aside, Hermione should be incredibly proud of everything that she has achieved this year and deserves a well-earned break!

Cedric Diggory
Yet again, Cedric has had an outstanding year and continues to be an inspiring role model to both Hufflepuff house and Hogwarts as a whole. We are struggling to think of a single thing for him to improve upon. Seriously. From his Quidditch skills to his exam results, he’s pretty much the perfect student.

Draco Malfoy
When it comes to Draco, this year has been rather a mixed bag. While there are some areas in which he clearly does well, such as Potions, his attitude to other lessons tends to let him down – especially Care of Magical Creatures.
Speaking of his attitude, we would want to see an improvement in Draco’s. We don’t doubt that he has a keen mind, but we’d rather that he used it for learning magic rather than coming up with insults such as ‘Training for the ballet, Potter?’
Next year, we would like Draco to remember that actions have consequences – we highly doubt he wants to find himself Transfigured into a ferret again.

Luna Lovegood
Luna is one of the most unique students that we have encountered. Her creative and insightful nature is something that should be encouraged – her Quidditch commentary was certainly a highlight.
It is brilliant that Luna has such an open mind, but we are sometimes concerned that she struggles to remain grounded in reality. To be honest, we’re starting to worry about the frequency with which she brings up the Crumple-Horned Snorkack.
As a true individual, we know that Luna has sometimes struggled to connect with her peers. So, it has been fantastic to see her make great strides in this area over the last couple of years and find her place at Hogwarts.

Fred Weasley
Fred displays a zest for life combined with an entrepreneurial spirit that could take him far – if harnessed correctly.
It’s safe to say that there is still room for improvement on that point. Currently, most of Fred’s ingenuity seems to be channelled into pranks – having students transform into canaries at the drop of a hat is rather inconvenient.
Next year, we would like to see Fred channel his creativity into pursuits that are not designed to send Mr Filch’s stress levels through the roof… he is rather on edge.

George Weasley
We’ve decided to create one report for both Gred and Forge, sorry, Fred and George this summer. Their antics are so exhausting, we don’t have the energy to write more than one… and we still can’t quite tell which Weasley twin is which. Assume that anything said about one can also be applied to the other.
