## New LEGO Collection for the HBO series is coming

Here’s one for the brick-lovers… That’s right, the Harry Potter HBO Original series will be getting its own LEGO collection! We’ve only had a small tease so far, but the excitement is sure to build over the next few months.

## A first this Thanksgiving

## The wizarding world gets an icy makeover in Texas this festive season

You’ve seen Hogwarts in the snow, but how about carved from ice? This November, Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas presents a frozen version of 10 famous scenes from the Harry Potter films. ### Celebrate live from London at an event hosted by HBO Max

Ahead of the highly anticipated debut of the HBO Original series Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone this Christmas, HBO Max will lead a first-of-its-kind Back to Hogwarts celebration in London on the 1st of September.

BACK TO HOGWARTS: The HBO Max Platform 9 ¾ Fan Experience is a one-day fan celebration inspired by the new series. It will feature interactive fan moments, exclusive giveaways, and a glimpse into the new adaptation ahead of its debut this Christmas! ### Warner Bros. Studio Tour London will host an 11am countdown on 1st September

New for 2026, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter will mark Back to Hogwarts with a special 11:00am announcement broadcast throughout the Tour. Following the opening announcement, additional broadcasts will take place every 30 minutes at Platform 9¾ throughout the day.

Guests can enjoy animatronic Hagrid demonstrations, exclusive photo opportunities, themed food and drink, and complimentary Hogwarts Train Tickets included in Summer Feature Activity Passports.

## Introducing a new generation of readers to Hogwarts

To bring the magic of storytelling to communities around the world, Scholastic, Bloomsbury, Pottermore and Audible have banded together on some spellbinding new initiatives:

• More than 200,000 print books and full-cast audiobooks of the first Harry Potter story will be donated to schools, libraries and hospitals across the U.S., UK, France, Germany, Brazil, the Netherlands, Norway, Bulgaria, Finland, China and Japan.

• In the UK, Bloomsbury will donate copies to charities and partners including Read for Good (supported by a matching full-cast audiobook donation by Pottermore and Audible), The National Literacy Trust, Give a Book, Sky, The Trussell Trust and Book Aid International, helping more children discover and engage with the joy of Harry Potter.

• Library access will also be expanded, with Pottermore lifting waitlists for the digital editions of *Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone*, making it easier for readers to borrow the eBook or digital audiobook from their local library throughout September.

• In the U.S., Scholastic will give away 100,000 copies of *Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone* through its school channels including underserved communities across the country. In collaboration with Audible and Pottermore, Scholastic will also distribute *Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone* full-cast audiobook to 100,000 Book Clubs-affiliated teachers nationwide!

From the Burrow to Broadway…  

Nearly two decades since he last played the red-headed hero and one third of the golden trio on screen, Rupert Grint is returning to Hogwarts to embody the grown-up version of the one-and-only Ron Weasley… this time on stage. We haven’t been this excited since the Chudley Cannons last won a match!  

For 17 weeks only, you can catch Rupert returning to his Weasley roots in *Harry Potter and the Cursed Child* from 2nd February – 30th May 2027 at [New York’s Lyric Theatre](https://broadway.harrypottertheplay.com/).

With the play set 19 years after the events of *Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows*, Rupert reflects on the “full-circle” experience of playing Ron as a child and now as a father.

Tom Felton made his Broadway debut as a grown-up Draco in the *Cursed Child* in November 2025, 15 years after he last played the angst-ridden antagonist in the films. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child celebrates 10 years in London

The multi-award-winning show, written by Jack Thorne and directed by John Tiffany, first apparated to the London stage in 2016. Ever since, it’s been enthralling audiences worldwide with its breathtaking illusions, theatrical magic, and emotional story.  

Now, a decade later, *Harry Potter and the Cursed Child* has broken a new record; it’s the longest running play in modern West End history to be performed as a two-part theatrical experience. To put that achievement into context, here are some stats for you Arithmancy lovers: 

•   The show has been seen by __2.5 million people__ at the Palace Theatre, including __300,000__ first-time theatregoers  

•   There have been a combined total of __1,762 performances__ of Part 1 and Part 2, totalling a jaw-dropping __8,300 hours__ of performance time!  

We couldn’t think of a better use of 49 weeks of our lives, to be honest. 

Scriptwriter Jack Thorne champions the collaborative effort of creating a show that sparks people’s love of theatre:

Peter Serafinowicz, the actor and comedian known for his roles in everything from *How to Train Your Drago*n to *The Peter Serafinowicz Show*, has officially signed up to play one of the Harry Potter stories’ naughtiest characters, [Peeves](/fact-file/characters-and-pets/peeves).  

Known for causing all sorts of pandemonium, like dropping walking sticks on Neville’s head or hiding in a suit of armour and singing rude songs, this will be the first time that this fan-favourite character will appear on screen!

It’s not too long until we get to see this agent of chaos unleashed... as the series will debut Christmas 2026 on HBO and will be available to stream exclusively on HBO Max where it’s available, including recent launch markets Germany, Italy, and the UK & Ireland.
