So, as you can see, these newly revealed pages show us a lavishly comprehensive look at The Burrow (complete with a Crookshanks cameo), the ludicrously over-stamped letter that the Weasleys try to send Harry at Privet Drive, and a glance inside the ominous hedge maze that featured in the third task of the Triwizard Tournament.

Harry’s fourth year at Hogwarts certainly opened the door to many new characters, creatures, challenges and shocking plot twists – many of which have now been reimagined in Jim Kay’s signature style.

Of course, things don’t stay all lovely and colourful for too long – the fourth book is famously where our story gets much darker, with the arrival of the Triwizard Tournament, Harry’s unwilling entry into the famously dangerous contest, and the deadly crescendo: Lord Voldemort’s return.

Goblet of Fire is expected to feature over 115 images from Jim Kay (well, it is a rather long book!). We look forward to each and every one of them, be they dragons or something downright scarier.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: Illustrated Edition will be released 8 October, 2019 and you can pre-order from Bloomsbury’s official website.
