Located behind The Leaky Cauldron pub, Diagon Alley was the main shopping street for the UK’s wizarding community. With its ancient buildings and cobbled streets, Diagon Alley was often a busy place, particularly before term started as Hogwarts students rushed to get the books and equipment on their back-to-school lists. Shops such as Madam Malkin’s Robes for all Occasions and Flourish and Botts sold everything from wizarding robes to spellbooks, while other shops offered owls, cauldrons and quills, whilst Ollivanders was the go-to place for finding the perfect wand. Diagon Alley was also home to Gringotts wizarding bank, and was connected to Knockturn Alley - a more sinister shopping street that had associations with the Dark Arts.
